Arrive for your movement session in clothes that you feel comfortable moving in. You'll be greeted by Bridie and invited into a treatment room. Your initial consultation will start with a discussion around experiences and goals you have. Here is where we will also be setting the scene for how you’d like your movement session/programme to work for you.
Together we will then progress through movement skills and drills to establish a baseline for you. This could be range of motion, strength tasks or anything specifically connected to your goals.
The emphasis will be on working from where you are today, whether that includes fitting around an existing exercise plan or training for a specific event. Bridie will offer you space to have a safe mindful experience that complements your daily activities.
Often these sessions will include the creation of a take-home programme just for you. Bridie will write/draw up a document of your movement skills & drills so that you can integrate movement into your regular routine.
There is no wrong way to move, but sometimes we need help finding movements that feel right for us. At the end of the session you’ll feel more confident owning the body you are in.
As you start to feel more in tune with your body; come back regularly for movement sessions that follow the arch of a yoga class (but are sequenced just for you!) or drop in casually for a tuneup of your home practice.
